Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaylord Butts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Tua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Tua has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gaylord Butts's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua wants to clinch up but Butts keeps it at a distance.

Tua closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tua lands in his opponent's guard.
Butts keeping moving, preventing Tua from controlling successfully.
Butts wants to get back to his feet but Tua is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Butts thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Tua should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tua stands up and waves to Butts to follow him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Butts is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tua postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Butts looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Butts is desperately trying to improve his position but Tua has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butts is breathing heavily.

Tua stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Tua is wriggling around trying to escape.
The referee warns Tua that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Butts is landing with some decent strikes but Tua is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tua tries to lock up and control but Butts gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tua regains half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Butts lands a nice short elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Tua dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tua looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Butts tries to avoid it but Tua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Butts to the ground. Butts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tua fails in his attempt to clinch.

Butts lands a strong strike to the head of Tua. That's dazed him! Butts looking to finish here. Tua is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Butts lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
