Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake The Snake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Tippin! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tippin throws a nice inside leg kick. Tippin throws a big overhand right that connects, sending The Snake tumbling to the canvas!
It looks like Jake The Snake has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The Snake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tippin is one step ahead there. The Snake is pulling down on Tippin's head to control his posture. The Snake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The Snake working a defensive guard but Tippin manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Snake can't do much from the bottom here. Tippin is putting a hurting on The Snake here, landing some big shots from side control. Tippin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The Snake is looking for a sweep. Tippin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Snake can't do much from the bottom here. The Snake takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The Snake is trying to control Tippin's posture but Tippin avoids it. Tippin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but The Snake is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Tippin is looking to take a break and control but The Snake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The Snake is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tippin off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Tippin right now.
The Snake lands an elbow to the side of the head. The Snake punches the canvas rather than the man. The Snake missing with strikes. Tippin takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tippin is trying to break free.

Tippin covering up well under a series of strikes from The Snake. Tippin avoids the strikes from The Snake. The Snake lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Snake misses with an elbow to the head. Tippin turns into The Snake and is now in his guard.
Tippin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tippin told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Tippin passes The Snake's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tippin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Tippin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Snake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The Snake is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The Snake is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tippin scores with a couple of nice shots. Tippin tries to pass the half guard into mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tippin lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tippin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tippin seems to be looking for submissions.
Tippin is thwarting The Snake's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Tippin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake The Snake's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tippin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Snake pinned against the cage. The Snake gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tippin shoots in and gets a takedown into The Snake's guard. The Snake wants to sweep but no luck. Tippin trying to control but The Snake is working from the bottom. The Snake trying to keep a closed guard but Tippin is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tippin stays in close to The Snake's body and controls the position. Tippin throws a big right hand that misses. Tippin scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The Snake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tippin is one step ahead there. Tippin throwing strikes but missing. The Snake trying to keep a closed guard but Tippin is proving a slippery customer.
The Snake keeping moving, preventing Tippin from controlling successfully. The Snake looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tippin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tippin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. This has been an exciting period of action! The Snake regains full guard. Nicely done. Tippin stands and throws The Snake's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tippin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for The Snake! Tippin breaks from The Snake's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The Snake is rocked!
Jake The Snake's cut is getting worse. Tippin landing strikes, looking to finish! Oh The Snake is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jake The Snake's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Tippin postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks The Snake out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Tippin goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pete Tippin! Pete Tippin seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
