Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Paltiguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pernell McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Paltiguera might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paltiguera fails to land with a series of punches.
Paltiguera looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pernell McPhee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPhee throws a shot to the body.
McPhee takes a swing at Paltiguera's ribcage but misses.

McPhee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McPhee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paltiguera moves away.
McPhee shoots for a takedown but Paltiguera saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

McPhee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Paltiguera throws out a loose jab but McPhee uses good head movement to avoid it.
McPhee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McPhee shoots in and gets a takedown into Paltiguera's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
McPhee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
