Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheldon McManus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McManus shoots in and drives through. Tyler sprawls well.
McManus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyler fails with an attempt to clinch.
McManus lands a front kick.
Tyler shoots in but McManus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McManus moves into the clinch successfully.
McManus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McManus closes the distance and clinches up with Tyler, looking for a takedown. McManus pushes Tyler against the cage but Tyler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tyler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McManus walks away with a smile on his face. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tyler shoots in for a takedown but McManus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McManus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from McManus.
McManus has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tyler uses from the top position.
McManus has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Tyler is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well McManus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
