The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Though misses with a series of wild punches.
Gibbler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Though lands a left and a right that send Gibbler crashing to the mat, dazed. Though thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Jim Gibbler has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Though.
Gibbler lands a glancing blow to the side of Though's head.
No joy there for Gibbler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A cross from Gibbler lands.
Though throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Though darts in looking for a takedown but Gibbler gets double underhooks and turns Though into the cage.
Though manages to break the clinch.
Gibbler digs a good hook to Though's body.
Gibbler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gibbler thuds a left hand into Though's body.
Though looks winded!
Though throws a right and a left that Gibbler avoids nicely.
Though looks to land a right hand but Gibbler moved out of range.
Though circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gibbler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Though throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Though takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like David Though has been cut.
Gibbler scores with a nice strike.
Gibbler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Though backs away from a small jab... but Gibbler lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Though crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Gibbler with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jim Gibbler!
The defeated David Though had this to say: 'Sorry I didn't knock this guy clean out!'.
