Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Brown Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown Jr comes into the arena with Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine blaring out of the sound system. Connor McGregor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Brown Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Connor McGregor! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McGregor is trying to buck Brown Jr off. McGregor throws Brown Jr to one side and escapes! Brown Jr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGregor as he avoids it easily. McGregor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brown Jr tries to clinch but McGregor moves out of range. Brown Jr moves into the clinch. Brown Jr lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McGregor backwards. Brown Jr lands with a short head shot on the inside. McGregor trying to land knees to the body.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Brown Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brown Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McGregor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown Jr's half guard. Brown Jr preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Brown Jr trying to control but McGregor postures up.

McGregor decides to stand and escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for McGregor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown Jr has McGregor up against the cage in a clinch.
McGregor throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Brown Jr pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGregor stands up and waves to Brown Jr to follow him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGregor circles away from the clinch attempt.
McGregor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown Jr's waist but Brown Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGregor off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown Jr gets caught napping as McGregor dives in and scores a takedown. Brown Jr manages to retain guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Brown Jr manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Brown Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Brown Jr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McGregor looking to slow down the pace here. Brown Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McGregor to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Brown Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown Jr stalling in the clinch.
McGregor tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

McGregor has Brown Jr pushed against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown Jr tries to pull guard but McGregor forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Brown Jr breaks the clinch.
McGregor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brown Jr connects with a jab. Brown Jr moves into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brown Jr tries to score a body lock takedown but McGregor shows good agility there to stay on his feet. McGregor looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brown Jr tries to break free but McGregor pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jason Brown Jr will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brown Jr stuffs the takedown. McGregor darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Brown Jr moves into full guard.
McGregor is looking to stand up but Brown Jr won't let him. Brown Jr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McGregor! Connor McGregor has got the better of the ground game so far. Brown Jr working the ground and pound effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown Jr is in the full mount, landing strikes. McGregor takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Brown Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McGregor somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Brown Jr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGregor as he avoids it easily. McGregor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brown Jr on his heels. He'll look to pass Brown Jr's guard now, I'm sure. McGregor is breathing heavily. Brown Jr wants to stand and escape but McGregor is having none of it. Brown Jr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGregor has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brown Jr is proving hard to escape from. McGregor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brown Jr looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McGregor is defending well. Brown Jr quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McGregor has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Brown Jr celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
