Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Lobas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andy Lobas!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent moves out of range of the body kick from Lobas.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lobas is defended easily by Kent.
Kent shoots in for a double leg but Lobas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lobas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
Lobas connects with a right hand. Kent shakes it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lobas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Lobas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lobas lands a couple of elbows.

Kent has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lobas off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Lobas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kent definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kent tries to throw a body punch but Lobas avoids it by throwing Kent back against the cage.
Lobas lands a good knee to the midsection. Kent won't want to take too many of those.
Lobas tries to land knees in the clinch but Kent avoids the damage to the body.

Lobas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lobas darts in and clinches Kent up against the cage.

Lobas manages to break the clinch.
Lobas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kent tries to avoid it but Lobas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kent to the ground. Kent escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lobas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kent back to the cage. Lobas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kent wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kent is trying to push Lobas away but Lobas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kent is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lobas misses with a knee to the head.

Lobas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kent blocks a head kick by Lobas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lobas tries to clinch but Kent is having none of it.

Lobas throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kent tries to pull guard but Lobas holds him up against the cage and eventually Kent drops back down to his feet.
Lobas lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kent or not.
Lobas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lobas wants the takedown. Kent is fighting it off but Lobas persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kent's guard against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lobas is in close to Kent's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lobas lands a couple of digs.
Lobas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Andy Lobas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lobas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
