The crowd seem to be enjoying Grir's choice of entrance music: The Prodigy - Everybody In The Place. Pilchard Grir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Trapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pilchard Grir!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Grir clinches with his opponent.
Trapp lands a nice uppercut.
Grir managing to block the knees to the body from Trapp.
Trapp dodges an elbow strike from Grir.
Grir letting Trapp take a breather here.

Trapp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grir tries to clinch there but Trapp circles away.
Grir wants to clinch up but Trapp keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Grir looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Trapp misses with a low kick.
Trapp scores with a jab to the jaw.
Grir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trapp swings for the body but Grir moves out of range.
Grir moves out of range as Trapp strikes.
Trapp jabs Grir right on the nose. Grir blinks but takes it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grir fails in his attempt to clinch.
Trapp scores with a kick to the midsection.
Trapp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trapp pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Trapp stuns Grir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Grir has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Trapp tries a head kick but it misses.
Trapp looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A jab from Trapp does it's job there.
Grir moves to clinch but Trapp breaks away
and Trapp counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


Grir is rocked!
Trapp cracks Grir with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Grir is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Grir is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Grir could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Norman Trapp!
