Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chang Townsend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Feller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chang Townsend has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Chang Townsend! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brian Feller! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Townsend shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Feller as he jumps to the side. Feller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Townsend's waist but Townsend gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Feller off to one side. The fight stays on the outside here - Townsend looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Townsend closes the distance but Feller moves to the side and Feller moves into the clinch. Townsend controlling the action here for a moment.
Townsend looking for a takedown. Townsend is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Townsend jumps guard but Feller stands there with Townsend around his waist. Townsend gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chang Townsend. That's going to take a lot out of him. Feller gets through Townsend's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feller avoids the elbow strike from Townsend, against the cage.

Townsend really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Townsend fails to pull guard.
Townsend looking for a takedown. Townsend jumps guard but Feller stands there with Townsend around his waist. Townsend gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Feller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Feller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Townsend looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Feller tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Townsend.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Feller performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Townsend flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Feller working the head and body with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Well, if Feller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Townsend is trying to stand back up but Feller is controlling him
Feller controlling the action here. Townsend pushes Feller off looking to stand but Feller dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Feller stalling.
Brian Feller has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Feller gets the takedown into side control. Townsend seems a little lost for a moment, as Feller dominates the positioning. Feller tries to stand but Townsend is controlling his head. Townsend is trying to get back to half guard. Townsend is working hard here to advance position. Feller wants to stand but Townsend is controlling his arm. Feller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Townsend to his feet. Townsend has closed the distance and engaged Feller in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Feller gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Townsend throws his legs up looking for a submission but Feller uses it to pass to side control.
Feller tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Feller stands up and we're back to a striking position. Townsend misses with a takedown attempt and Feller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Feller. Townsend will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Townsend is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Townsend being controlled here, momentarily. Townsend is striking from the bottom but Feller uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Feller dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Townsend tries to clinch up. Horrible takedown by Feller or perhaps it was just good defense by Townsend which made him look bad. Feller darts in and clinches Townsend up against the cage. Townsend content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Feller is stalling here.
Feller jumps guard and drags Townsend to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Feller is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Feller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Townsend looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Townsend wants to get back to full guard. Feller prevents Townsend from standing back up.
Townsend tries to roll over but Feller keeps him under control. Townsend looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Feller is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Feller seems to be looking for submissions.
Brian Feller has got the better of the ground game so far. Feller is taking a breather. Townsend says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Townsend wants to get back to full guard. Townsend actively working from the bottom here. Feller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Townsend has managed to free his arm - good work. Feller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Townsend strikes from the bottom but Feller passes into mount!
Feller raining down shots from the mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Feller manages to capitalize on a mistake by Townsend to take his back! Townsend rolls, trying to escape but Feller keeps control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Feller really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Townsend. Feller patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Feller working for the choke. I really don't envy Townsend right now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Feller slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Feller controlling well, preventing Townsend from escaping the position.
Townsend won't enjoy being in this position. Feller looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Townsend is tapping - it's over boys! Feller picks up the submission victory!
