Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Demonic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demonic's entrance music is 8 Foot Sativa - Chelsea Smile. A fine choice. Duggan has chosen The Language - Drake as his entrance music. Jim Duggan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Demonic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Duggan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duggan checks a leg kick.
Demonic throws a push kick but Duggan slaps the foot to one side.
Demonic misses with a body kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Demonic.

Demonic lands a big head kick that sends Duggan tumbling to the mat! Demonic takes a step backwards and waves Duggan back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Jim Duggan has been cut.
Dave Demonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Demonic enables Duggan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Demonic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Duggan distracts Demonic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Demonic avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Duggan connects with a couple of short punches.
Demonic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Duggan trying to control the position from guard on top but Demonic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Duggan stays in close to Demonic's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Duggan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Duggan lands a couple of elbows.
Duggan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Demonic's head.
Duggan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Demonic is looking to sweep but instead, Duggan has passed into half guard.
Demonic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Demonic tries to get out of the position.

Duggan blocks the strikes from Demonic.
Duggan prevents Demonic from improving his position.
Demonic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duggan on the ground.
Duggan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Demonic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Duggan winds up and cracks Demonic with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Duggan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Demonic keeps working.
Duggan is thwarting Demonic's attempts to control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Duggan lands a nice short elbow.
Duggan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Demonic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Duggan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Duggan content to control rather than advance.
Duggan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Demonic wants to improve his position but Duggan is controlling well.

Duggan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Demonic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duggan has managed to get both his arms back between Demonic's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duggan wants to control from the top but Demonic keeps moving.
Duggan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Demonic throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Demonic will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Duggan stands up over Demonic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Demonic keeping moving, preventing Duggan from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Duggan checks a leg kick.

Demonic drops Duggan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Duggan looks back up at him and smiles so Demonic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duggan misses with a wild body shot.
Duggan avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Demonic. Duggan shrugs it off though.
Dave Demonic is winning the standup battle so far.
A chopping leg kick lands by Demonic.
Duggan wants to stay close but Demonic steps back to make room for something. Duggan seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Demonic and Duggan drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dave Demonic!
Dave Demonic seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
