Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Yang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yang wants to improve his position but Thomas is controlling well.
Yang trying to hold on to Thomas's head to control him but Thomas postures up.
Yang is trying to get back to full guard.

and Yang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Yang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Thomas tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Yang is standing up over Thomas. Thomas looks to escape but Yang dives into side control.
Yang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thomas to his feet.
Yang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Thomas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Thomas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yang is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Thomas, into his guard.

Thomas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yang!
Thomas wants to get back to his feet but Yang is holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yang is working hard here to advance position.
A nice elbow there by Thomas.
Yang tries to hold on but Thomas postures up.

Thomas goes for an armbar but Yang turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Yang.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Thomas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Yang closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Yang lands in his opponent's guard.
Thomas is looking for a triangle but Yang pushes his legs off easily.
Yang passes Thomas's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Thomas won't allow Yang to pass to mount.
Yang is thwarting Thomas's attempts to control the position.

Thomas tries to get to full guard but Yang has control of the leg.

Yang looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thomas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas is looking to escape.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Yang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomas darts in trying to clinch
and Yang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thomas's guard.
Thomas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yang is one step ahead there.
Thomas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Yang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Thomas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Yang's back instead.

Thomas is persistently looking for the submission but Yang is defending it well.
Thomas throws strikes from the back but Yang rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Yang.

Yang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thomas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Thomas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yang is proving hard to escape from.
Thomas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yang manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Thomas has Yang in his guard.
Thomas pushes Yang off and scrambles back to his feet.

Well Yang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
