The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hammer lands a couple of elbows.
Hammer wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Hammer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammer throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hammer's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Hammer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Hammer. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Hammer lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hammer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Hammer.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Can Silva hold on?! Hammer is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Hammer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big shot lands for Hammer! That's hurt Silva! Will he recover? Hammer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
