PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Born Loner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kinder has chosen Let's Get Ready To Rhumble as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loner misses with an uppercut.
Loner lands with a nice combination. Kinder backs away looking to recover.


It looks like John Kinder has been cut.
Loner misses with a double jab.

Loner closes the distance and clinches.
Kinder presses Loner against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Kinder jumps into guard, dragging Loner to the mat.
Loner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kinder is keeping the position for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Kinder was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Loner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kinder manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Born Loner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Loner or perhaps it was just good defense by Kinder which made him look bad.
Loner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Loner misses with a head kick.
Kinder fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Loner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Loner is breathing heavily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Born Loner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kinder rushes Loner and presses him up against the cage.

Loner pulls guard effortlessly.
Kinder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Loner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kinder on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Born Loner will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on John Kinder's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kinder scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kinder frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Loner tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Loner wants to hold on but Kinder pushes him away.

Kinder looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
John Kinder has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kinder tries to stand up but Loner had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard.

Kinder regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kinder wants to sweep but no luck.

Kinder has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Loner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kinder has tightened it up now! Loner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). John Kinder!
