Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inigo Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerra has chosen The Beast - Tech N9ne as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Inigo Guerra! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guerra tests Suez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Guerra looks to land a combination. Suez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A looping hook to the body misses from Guerra. Suez does a little dance to reset his feet. Guerra shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Guerra throws an off balance right hand
and Suez counters with a right hand to the body. Suez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Guerra misses with a wild body shot. Suez motions for Guerra to come forward. Suez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Suez tries to close the distance and clinch but Guerra swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Guerra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Suez was well out of range. Poor timing from Guerra. Guerra thows a body shot but no joy. Guerra throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Suez moves into the clinch. Guerra lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Suez or not. Suez blocks a body shot from Guerra. Guerra trying to control the position but instead, Suez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Guerra into the cage. Guerra creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Suez's defenses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Suez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Guerra pulls him back up using the underhooks. Suez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suez is trying to break free. The referee calls for Guerra to work.
Suez tries to pull guard but Guerra forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Suez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guerra tries to work over Suez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Guerra tries a body shot but Suez blocks it.

Suez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Suez just misses with a punch to the body.
Guerra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Suez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Guerra pivots, looking for a leg kick but Suez is out of range and Guerra settles back down. Guerra misses with an attempted mid kick.
Suez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Guerra was covering up waiting for the punch and Suez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Guerra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Suez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Suez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suez lands a couple of digs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guerra tries to land a sweep but no joy. Suez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Suez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Guerra keeping moving, preventing Suez from controlling successfully. Suez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerra trying to keep a closed guard but Suez is proving a slippery customer.
Suez won't allow Guerra to sweep him here. Suez stands up and waves to Guerra to follow him. Guerra tries to move into range but Suez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Guerra misses with a low kick as Suez jumps back. Guerra misses with a body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Guerra as Suez shoots in. Guerra dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Guerra takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Suez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Guerra throws out the jab. Some wild striking there from Guerra.
Inigo Guerra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suez avoids the body shot from Guerra.
Guerra with a body punch. A glancing blow. Suez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Suez throws a big shot that misses. Guerra throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guerra keeps the fight on the outside. Inigo Guerra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guerra throws a solid leg kick but Suez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Guerra. Suez needs to keep his hands up - Guerra had a free shot at his head there. Suez scores with a jab to the body. Guerra lands with a good body shot. Guerra just misses with a punch to the body.
Guerra lands the left hand. Guerra is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Suez rather than just go for the knockout. It looks like Inigo Guerra has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Suez is defended easily by Guerra. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rafael Suez will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Inigo Guerra's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Rafael Suez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Suez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Suez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Guerra's jab looks to have found its range, popping Suez under the eye. Guerra stalks Suez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Suez's face. Suez staggers backwards, shaken. Guerra tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Guerra throws a leg kick that is checked and Suez counters with a good low kick that Guerra was not able to check. Guerra connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Suez shoots in looking for a takedown. Guerra tries to sprawl out of it but Suez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guerra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guerra ducks under a wild hook from Suez.

Suez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guerra defends it well. Suez thows a huge punch but Guerra dodges it nicely.

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guerra. Suez wants to control the pace but Guerra is squirming around nicely. Suez working away from the top, dropping strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Suez moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Guerra has worked his arm free - good work by Guerra!

Suez is looking to take a break and control but Guerra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Guerra tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Suez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Suez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Suez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Guerra is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guerra is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Suez throws an elbow but Guerra slips to the side and avoids it well. Suez throwing shots but missing, from side control. Guerra is looking to regain half guard here but Suez keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Guerra's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Suez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Guerra cracks a nice hook into Suez's ribs. Suez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guerra tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rafael Suez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. You can see the frustration on Guerra's face as Suez controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suez wants to control but Guerra is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guerra tries to improve position but can't. Inigo Guerra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Guerra keeps trying to improve his position. Suez just content to control the position. Suez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Guerra for as long as he can get away with.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Inigo Guerra. I think Suez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
