Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Ganso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ganso has chosen Dont stop Believing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Ganso! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ganso shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sanchez sprawls well. Sanchez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ganso gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sanchez lands in his opponent's guard. Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sanchez trying to control but Ganso is working from the bottom. Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ganso swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is pushing down on Ganso's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ganso is fighting to maintain full guard but Sanchez has managed to sneak the leg through. Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez wants to control but Ganso is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Paulo Ganso has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Sanchez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ganso has managed to free his arm - good work. Ganso is still in real trouble! Can Sanchez finish him? Sanchez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold. Ganso tries to get to full guard but Sanchez has control of the leg. Sanchez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ganso is not content to let Sanchez control the position. Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ganso has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by Ganso. Ganso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sanchez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sanchez is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez regains half guard. Sanchez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ganso's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ganso's back! Sanchez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ganso has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ganso uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sanchez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ganso's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Sanchez trying to control from the bottom.

Juan Sanchez dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Paulo Ganso's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Juan Sanchez just wasn't active enough. Ganso misses with a takedown attempt and Sanchez counters with a series of strikes that sends Ganso to the canvas! Sanchez follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sanchez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sanchez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ganso is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sanchez yanks on the arm and Ganso is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sanchez.
