The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inc misses with a low kick.
Inc has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Laroux is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Laroux keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dick Inc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Inc takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Inc scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Inc wants to pass to mount but Laroux is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laroux is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Inc's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Inc's back!

Laroux is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Inc has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Laroux has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Inc has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Laroux is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Inc is defending well though. Laroux let's go of the attempt for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Laroux doesn't have the hooks in and Inc manages to turn into his guard.

Laroux throws his legs up looking for a submission but Inc uses it to pass to side control.

Inc has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Laroux's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
