The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez closes the distance and clinches up with Bale, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes Bale against the cage but Bale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lopez avoids the body shot from Bale.
Lopez moves out of range as Bale strikes.
Lopez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bale's waist but Bale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lopez off to one side.
Bale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lopez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bale finds it's way round the side to connect with Lopez's head.

It looks like Mike Lopez has been cut.
No joy there for Lopez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lopez shoots in for a double leg but Bale sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bale drops Lopez with a beautiful combination! Lopez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bale is looking for the KO!

Bale cracks Lopez with a good jab.

Mike Lopez's cut is getting worse.
Lopez is holding his hands too far apart here. Bale throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Lopez is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
