Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Dutra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dutra has chosen Meio Psicopata as his entrance music. Lance Hill has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lance Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin Dutra!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dutra goes for a double leg but Hill avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hill continues to drive forward.
Dutra can't get the takedown.
Hill gets underhooks to prevent Dutra's takedown attempt.
Lance Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Dutra.
Hill trying to stall but Dutra improves his position.
Dutra is working for takedown but Hill is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dutra is trying to drag Hill to the mat but Hill just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hill is pressed up against the cage. Dutra has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hill down to the mat. Hill avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hill wants it to stay on the feet.
Hill moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Kevin Dutra has been cut.
Dutra takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dutra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat.
Hill shoots in but Dutra avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hill fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dutra, pushing him back against the cage.
Hill stops a takedown attempt from Dutra.

Hill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hill has a takedown stuffed.

Hill clinches up with Dutra and pushes him back against the cage.
Dutra blocks an elbow strike from Hill.
Hill prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hill jumps guard and drags Dutra to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dutra content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hill working for a triangle but Dutra defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dutra postures up in Hill's guard and throws a big left but Hill blocks it.
Hill controls Dutra momentarily but Dutra frees himself.
Dutra lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dutra is looking to work some ground and pound but Hill has wrist control.
Dutra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dutra cracks Hill with a solid left hand.
Dutra makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Dutra is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Dutra might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Dutra throws a big elbow that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dutra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dutra won't allow Hill to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dutra is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Dutra seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Dutra is nestled in close to Hill, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dutra slips a nice elbow through Hill's hands, connecting with Hill's forehead.

Dutra working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dutra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hill looks a forlorn figure.

Dutra lands a couple of good shots and Hill has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Dutra shoots for a double leg takedown but Hill sprawls well. He's pushed Dutra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dutra looks up at the clock and then as Hill takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dutra smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hill is pushing Dutra's head away, looking to escape. Dutra manages to hold on to the position though.
You can see the frustration on Hill's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Dutra hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hill throws a sloppy head kick and Dutra moves out of range easily.
Kevin Dutra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dutra fails to land the takedown.
Lance Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Dutra.
Hill punishes Dutra's body with a nice straight punch.
Dutra misses with a takedown attempt - Hill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hill goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
