Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Bakreek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolfo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adolfo Dias has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 22 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Bakreek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adolfo Dias! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bakreek lands an overhand right.
It looks like Adolfo Dias has been cut. Dias slips a jab from Bakreek. Bakreek throws a lazy uppercut
and Dias counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bakreek waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dias. Jeff Bakreek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dias lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bakreek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dias tries to avoid it but Bakreek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dias to the ground. Dias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fighters circling - Bakreek throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dias slips under a jab from Bakreek. Dias defending well as Bakreek loads up on a big left hand. A telegraphed right hand from Bakreek misses the target. Dias gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bakreek gets the takedown into side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bakreek prevents Dias from escaping the position. Dias really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bakreek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dias dodges the ground and pound from Bakreek. Dias defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakreek throws a strike aimed at the side of Dias's head but Dias avoids it well. Check out the look on Bakreek's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Bakreek misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Bakreek is looking to take a break and control but Dias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dias is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dias can do anything to dispel that myth. Dias is still trying to improve position. Bakreek lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dias down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sloppy strikes there by Bakreek.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Bakreek are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Dias is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Dias on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Bakreek working the ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Bakreek misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Dias avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bakreek. Bakreek throws an elbow but Dias slips to the side and avoids it well. Bakreek scoring with punches from side control. Dias is pushing Bakreek's head away, looking to escape. Bakreek manages to hold on to the position though. Bakreek is trying to ground and pound but Dias uses the momentary lack of control by Bakreek to regain half guard. Dias is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakreek thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dias's head. Bakreek slips a nice elbow through Dias's hands, connecting with Dias's forehead.
That has opened up Adolfo Dias's cut even more. Bakreek performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bakreek missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bakreek working Dias over with strikes. Bakreek misses with a head shot. Dias uses the momentum to regain guard. Dias is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bakreek trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bakreek accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bakreek throws a strike but Dias rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bakreek is adopting a defensive guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Bakreek dominated that round. The cut man is working on Adolfo Dias's cut. That's time! Bakreek's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bakreek uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dias has time to react. Bakreek looks to land a right hand but Dias moved out of range. Bakreek tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dias defends well and Bakreek ends up having to push Dias into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dias wants to break the clinch but can't.

Bakreek shoots in but Dias avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bakreek needs to keep his hands up - Dias had a free shot at his head there. Bakreek works Dias's body with a nice hook. Bakreek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dias tries to avoid it but Bakreek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dias to the ground. Dias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Bakreek. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bakreek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bakreek lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakreek is looking to work some ground and pound but Dias has wrist control. Dias looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bakreek is one step ahead there. Bakreek slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dias wants to control but Bakreek postures up. Sloppy strikes there by Bakreek. Bakreek landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The cut above Adolfo Dias's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bakreek tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Dias is trying to buck Bakreek off. Bakreek working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Bakreek throws a strike aimed at the side of Dias's head but Dias avoids it well. Bakreek advances to full mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Bakreek throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dias tries to hold on but Bakreek postures up. Bakreek lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Adolfo Dias's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Adolfo Dias's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jeff Bakreek! An intense looking Jeff Bakreek took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Who in here wants to see more knock outs? I'm coming to give the fans what they want and score some bonus money while I'm at it'. Adolfo Dias spoke after the fight, saying 'Shit, I hate grappling...'.
