The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes ducks straight into an uppercut from Hades and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Barnes maanges to regain guard straight away.

It looks like Brett Barnes has been cut.

Barnes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barnes has his foot on Hades's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hades works his way back into a safe position though.

Barnes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hades manages to get himself to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barnes avoids the attempt from Hades to control.
Poor strikes thrown by Barnes there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
