Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovani Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost has chosen Watafak as his entrance music. Frost has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva drives through and clinches with Frost against the cage.
Silva breaks the clinch.
Silva has Frost up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva clinches with his opponent.
Silva turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silva manages to end up in side control.
Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Frost get back to his feet.
Frost's coach down at Elite Training Facility-Steel Penn was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Frost's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Frost did well to prevent Silva getting side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Silva moves nicely into side control.
Silva slows the pace down.
Frost is trying to improve his position.
Frost looks winded!

Frost is letting Silva control him for a moment.
Silva has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Frost!
Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Silva throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Frost.
It looks like Benny Frost has been cut.
Benny Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Frost, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva pulls Frost into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Frost looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Frost has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
Frost is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva passes Frost's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Frost actively working from the bottom here.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Frost's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Frost.

Frost in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Silva moves to take his opponent's back.
Silva has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Frost! Can he survive? No! He's out! Silva gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
