Mattus comes to the cage accompanied by My heart. Edoja Mark has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tapda Mattus's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapda Mattus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edoja Mark!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mark falls off balance throwing a combination

and Mattus counters by moving into the clinch.
Mattus is trying to pull guard but Mark has him pressed against the cage.

Mattus has picked Mark up - he's going for a ride! Mattus dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mark tries to get to full guard but Mattus has control of the leg.

Mattus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mark tries to roll over but Mattus keeps him under control.
Mark is staying active underneath Mattus, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mattus not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mark moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mark keeping full guard, as Mattus tries to pass.
Mattus is breathing heavily.
Mattus postures up.
Mattus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mark is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mattus trying to control the position from guard on top but Mark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mattus preventing the sweep.
Mark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mattus connects with a couple of short punches.
Mark trying to control the position.
Mark managing to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mattus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mattus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mark swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mark had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mattus defends it easily.
Mattus trying to control the position from guard on top but Mark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mattus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mattus lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mattus looking to sit in guard and control but Mark gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mattus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mattus is looking for a triangle but Mark pushes his legs off easily.
Mark is pushing down on Mattus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mattus is fighting to maintain full guard but Mark has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mark stalling.
Mark prevents Mattus from standing back up.
Mattus tries to roll over but Mark keeps him under control.
Mark drops an elbow to the side of Mattus's head.
Mark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mattus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mattus is trying to get back to full guard.
Mark wants to get back to his feet.
Mattus tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mark has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Mark putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mattus is looking to get to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mark landing strikes from the mount.


Mattus is rocked!
Mark wants to control the pace but Mattus is squirming around nicely.
Oh Mattus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mattus is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edoja Mark dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Mark ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Mattus out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edoja Mark!
