Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Hormone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins has chosen Disturbed - Down With The Sickness as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. David Hormone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hawkins is looking to score with low kicks. Hormone takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hawkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hormone circles away quickly and effectively. Hormone wants to clinch up but Hawkins keeps it at a distance. Hormone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hawkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Hawkins throws a nice looking combination but Hormone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hormone throws a right and a left that both miss. Hormone tries for a takedown but Hawkins circles away easily and Hawkins counters with a single leg into guard. Hormone didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hormone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hormone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hawkins's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hawkins wants to get back to his feet but Hormone is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hormone not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hormone tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawkins is retaining full guard. Hawkins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hormone gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hormone moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hormone clinches up against the cage. Hormone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hormone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hormone holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawkins stands up out of Hormone's guard for a moment - Hormone manages to land a nice upkick. Hawkins wants to stand but Hormone has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hawkins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hormone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hawkins's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hormone stops Hawkins from standing up. Hormone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hormone scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins keeping full guard, as Hormone tries to pass. Hawkins keeping moving, preventing Hormone from controlling successfully. Hawkins wants to stand up but Hormone is controlling him. Hawkins wriggles free and stands up. Marc Hawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hawkins misses with a series of wild punches.
A big left from Hawkins misses. Hormone doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hawkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hormone's guard now. Hormone is breathing heavily. Hawkins tries to stand but Hormone is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hormone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hawkins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hormone's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hawkins being controlled here momentarily. Hawkins tries to stand but Hormone is controlling from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hormone trying to keep a closed guard but Hawkins is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because David Hormone just wasn't active enough. Hawkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marc Hawkins dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hormone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawkins swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Hawkins does no damage. Hawkins throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hormone counters with an outside leg kick.
Hormone shoots in for a takedown but Hawkins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hormone walks into a stiff left hand from Hawkins. Hawkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hormone circles away quickly and effectively. Hawkins misses with the combination.
Hawkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice sprawl there from Hawkins as Hormone shoots in. Hormone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawkins is fending him off so far but Hormone persists. Nope, Hawkins circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Hormone. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Hawkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hormone lands a head kick. Hawkins smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hawkins misses with a low kick as Hormone jumps back. David Hormone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hormone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hormone tries to close the distance and clinch but Hawkins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hormone tries for a takedown but Hawkins circles away easily and Hawkins moves into the clinch. Hormone trying to stall but Hawkins improves his position.
Hawkins is trying to break the clinch but Hormone has him pressed against the cage. Hawkins is looking to break free of the clinch but Hormone has double underhooks. Hormone decides to pull guard. Hormone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hawkins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hormone seems keen to control Hawkins's posture. Hawkins is looking to stand up but Hormone won't let him. Hormone trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because David Hormone just wasn't active enough. Hawkins does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hormone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins scores with a nice strike. Hawkins misses with a few strikes there.
Hawkins closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hormone is rocked! Marc Hawkins seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hawkins thuds his shin into the meat of Hormone's side. Oh Hormone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hawkins throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hormone colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Hawkins as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hormone is left battered and dazed whilst Hawkins and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marc Hawkins! An out of breath Marc Hawkins thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
