Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sid Going (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liubomir Panayotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sid Going!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Liubomir Panayotov!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panayotov slaps away a takedown attempt from Going, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Panayotov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Going's head backwards.
Panayotov misses with the combination.
Going slips a jab and a cross from Panayotov.
Going tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Danga de danga de dang - Panayotov scores with a four punch combination!
Going shoots in looking for a takedown but Panayotov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Going's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Panayotov closes the distance and pushes Going back into the cage.

Going has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Panayotov regains guard immediately.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Panayotov pulls Going in close to prevent any damage.
Panayotov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Going is controlling him.

Panayotov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Going wants to control from the top but Panayotov keeps moving.
Panayotov keeping full guard, as Going tries to pass.

Panayotov is looking to stand back up but Going counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Panayotov.

Going works his foot free and advances to mount.
Panayotov is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Going is landing with some decent strikes but Panayotov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Panayotov wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Panayotov tries to lock up and control but Going gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Going tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Going avoids the attempt from Panayotov to control.

Going postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Panayotov looks a forlorn figure.
Panayotov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Going sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Panayotov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Going. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Going landing punches.
Going content just to control the position here.
Panayotov tries to hold on but Going pushes him away.

Panayotov is squirming around, avoiding Going's attempts to control the action.
Panayotov wants to control but Going is having none of it.

Going is working for a guillotine from mount but Panayotov frees his head quite easily.
Going wants to control the pace but Panayotov is squirming around nicely.
Going avoids the attempt from Panayotov to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Panayotov looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sid Going will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A left lands for Panayotov.
Going keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Panayotov swinging wildly here.
Panayotov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Going moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Going fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Panayotov avoids it really well and circles away.
Panayotov darts in looking for a takedown but Going gets double underhooks and turns Panayotov into the cage.
Going drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Panayotov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Panayotov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Going pulls his leg out and moves away.
Panayotov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Going.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sid Going. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Going fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Panayotov avoids it really well and circles away.
Liubomir Panayotov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Panayotov throws a wild body kick that Going sees coming a mile off.

Going shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Going sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Panayotov's guard.
Going is keen to just control but Panayotov is a slippery customer.

Going is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Panayotov has managed to free his arm - good work.

Panayotov wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Panayotov is breathing heavily.
Panayotov misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Panayotov wants to improve his position but Going is controlling well.
Going wants to control but Panayotov is keeping him busy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Panayotov is looking to control Going's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Panayotov avoid being mounted?

Going is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Panayotov!
Going takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Panayotov tries to reverse the position but Going maintains control.

Going is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Panayotov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Panayotov shrugs it off.
Panayotov tries to hold on but Going pushes him away.
Going unloading with bombs!
Going working the ground and pound effectively.
Panayotov is in a horrible position here. Going smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Going tries to control but Panayotov wriggling away.
Going controlling from mount.

Going is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Panayotov has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Going avoids the attempt from Panayotov to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sid Going dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Panayotov has closed the distance and engaged Going in a clinch.

Going breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Panayotov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Panayotov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Panayotov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Panayotov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Going looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Going shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Panayotov is trying to defend but Going finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Going looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Panayotov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Going is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Going lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Going is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Going!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Sid Going!
