Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Seigi Ozeki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Bigsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seigi Ozeki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seigi Ozeki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Bigsby!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ozeki throws a body punch but Bigsby moves out of range.
Bigsby is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ozeki.
Bigsby comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Bigsby dives in and scores a takedown into Ozeki's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bigsby wants to control from the top but Ozeki keeps moving.
Ozeki tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bigsby is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ozeki is just riding it out for now. Bigsby eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nice defenses there by Bigsby.
Bigsby shoots in and drives through. Ozeki sprawls well.
Ozeki throws an overhand right that lands on Bigsby's shoulder, as Bigsby tries to avoid the shot.

Bigsby fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ozeki to the ground. Bigsby is now in Ozeki's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ozeki holds on and takes a little breather.

Bigsby throws an elbow that misses. Ozeki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bigsby's guard. Nice move by Ozeki!

Scott Bigsby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Ozeki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bigsby shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ozeki sprawls well. Ozeki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bigsby gets slowly back to his feet.
Ozeki misses with a straight left.
Bigsby's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bigsby's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ozeki throws a hook to the side of Bigsby's head but Bigsby sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bigsby shoots in and drives through. Ozeki sprawls well.
Ozeki throws out a loose jab but Bigsby uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bigsby shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ozeki is trying to defend but Bigsby finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Seigi Ozeki.
I think Bigsby has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
