The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojas throws a shot from downtown. Takamura moves away and avoids it.
Takamura misses with a looping left.
Rojas throws a good cross that connects.
Takamura throws a series of strikes that have Rojas backpedaling.
Good leg kick by Rojas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Takamura dips to his left and cracks Rojas with an uppercut!

and Takamura counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rojas's knee momentarily.
Rojas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Takamura eats them both and turns towards Rojas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takamura uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rojas.
Rojas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takamura lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A head kick from Rojas lands but Takamura takes it in his stride.
Rojas tries a head kick but it misses.

Rojas misses with a series of wild punches.
Takamura defending well as Rojas loads up on a big left hand.

Takamura is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rojas avoids the head kick by Takamura.
Arturo Rojas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rojas throws a leg kick but Takamura sees it coming and moves out of range.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rojas tries to land a front kick but Takamura steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rojas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Rojas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takamura.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Arturo Rojas will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Takamura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Takamura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rojas.
Rojas misses with a right hand
and Takamura counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rojas misses with a leg kick
and Takamura counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Apollo Takamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rojas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takamura swats him away and circles back towards the center.
