Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byongsun Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Byongsun Robinson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sonnen or perhaps it was just good defense by Robinson which made him look bad.
We've been hearing reports that Sonnen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sonnen swings for the body but Robinson moves out of range.
Robinson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sonnen wants a takedown.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Robinson.
Robinson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sonnen is keeping busy.
Sonnen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chael Sonnen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robinson is pressed up against the cage. Sonnen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Robinson down to the mat. Robinson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sonnen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robinson swivels and escapes.
Robinson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sonnen, pushing him back against the cage.

Sonnen slips a nice elbow through Robinson's hands, connecting with Robinson's forehead.
Robinson wants to improve his position but Sonnen is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sonnen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sonnen is trying to control. Robinson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Robinson wants to stand back up but Sonnen manages to pass into side control.
Robinson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sonnen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sonnen works his foot free and advances to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Robinson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sonnen wants to control the pace but Robinson is squirming around nicely.

Robinson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sonnen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Robinson hang on?
Sonnen lands a big shot there that rocks Robinson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Robinson is rocked!
Sonnen loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Robinson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sonnen land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sonnen stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chael Sonnen!
Chael Sonnen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
