Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Horton Hoo!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neill scores with a sloppy right hand. Hoo should have avoided that one.
O Neill scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
O Neill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hoo circles away quickly and effectively.
O Neill connects with a nice looking jab.
Hoo closes the distance but O Neill moves to the side
and O Neill counters with an outside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. O Neill manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hoo wants to control from the top but O Neill keeps moving.

O Neill is trying to control the position but Hoo postures up.
Hoo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing O Neill to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hoo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - O Neill pulls down on the head and he's put Hoo to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Martin O Neill!
