Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernando tries to clinch there but Mcbride circles away.
Mcbride throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fernando.
Horrible takedown by Mcbride or perhaps it was just good defense by Fernando which made him look bad.
Mcbride misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fernando looks to score with a jab to the body but Mcbride is just out of range.
Fernando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Fernando counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mcbride's guard now.

Mcbride is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fernando defends well.

Fernando lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcbride circles away quickly and effectively.
Fernando throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcbride's waist but Mcbride gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fernando off to one side.

Fernando stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcbride swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fernando decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Mcbride stalks Fernando and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fernando's face. Fernando staggers backwards, shaken.

Fernando tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcbride sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fernando somewhat.
