Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Crim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Valenta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lorenzo Valenta told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lorenzo Valenta!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crim shoots in and gets a takedown into Valenta's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Crim lands a couple of elbows.
Crim is looking to work some ground and pound but Valenta has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Crim with a flurry of punches that miss.
Crim scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Crim throws a big right hand that misses.
Crim postures up.
Crim in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Crim trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Valenta manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Crim is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Valenta defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Crim throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valenta with a nice head shot there.
Crim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Valenta wants to control from the top but Crim keeps moving.

Valenta connects with a couple of short punches.
Crim tries to strike from the bottom.

Valenta slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Crim tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Valenta presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Crim keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Crim manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Valenta seems to be working for a kimura but Crim defends the submission attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Crim actively working from the bottom here.
Crim throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Crim wants to get back to his feet.
Crim is trying to maintain the position but Valenta is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Crim is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Valenta scores with a couple of nice shots.
Valenta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Valenta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crim with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Crim looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Valenta tries to pass the half guard into mount. Crim knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Valenta is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Crim has managed to free his arm - good work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Valenta lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crim trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Valenta manages to pass to mount!
Crim tries to reverse the position but Valenta maintains control.
Valenta scoring with strikes but Crim is staying in there.
A nice elbow there by Valenta.
Crim is rocked!
Crim tries to hold on but Valenta postures up.
Oh Crim is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Valenta loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Crim scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Valenta land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Valenta stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lorenzo Valenta!
After the fight, Lorenzo Valenta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
