The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee moves away from the strike by Diaz.
Lee goes for a double leg but Diaz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diaz continues to drive forward.
Lee tries to throw a body punch but Diaz avoids it by throwing Lee back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lee.
Diaz working aggressively here.
Lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Diaz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Diaz lands an uppercut.
Lee wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Lee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Diaz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee.

and Diaz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Diaz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Lee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
