Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harry Shotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harry Shotta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pete Reed! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed shoots in and bounces Shotta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Shotta controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself. Reed stops Shotta from standing up. Reed thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Shotta really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shotta looking to control.
Reed passes Shotta's left leg - he's now in half guard. Shotta tries to roll over but Reed keeps him under control. Reed trying to control from half guard but Shotta is working away. Shotta is trying to maintain the position but Reed is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed is working for a kimura but Shotta is defending it quite comfortably.
Reed lands strikes from half guard. Shotta is trying to stand.
Shotta wants to get back to full guard. Reed trying to control from half guard but Shotta is working away. Reed seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Reed gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shotta can pounce on him.
Reed looks gassed! Shotta has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shotta decides to pull guard. Reed preventing the sweep. Reed prevents Shotta from getting back to his feet. Reed keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shotta's head. Reed trying to control but Shotta is working from the bottom. Shotta looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reed is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Reed drops back looking for a leg! Shotta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shotta manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into Shotta's guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Shotta has managed to clinch.
Reed gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shotta.
Shotta connects with a nasty looking knee right to Reed's face.
Reed goes for a takedown in the clinch but Shotta prevents it.

Shotta is looking to clinch. Reed fails with the takedown. Shotta tries to clinch up but Reed circles away and keeps his distance. Shotta lands a high kick to the side of Reed's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Shotta dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Pete Reed has been cut. Shotta wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving. Reed is still in real trouble! Can Shotta finish him? Shotta pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reed is keeping the position for now. Shotta trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Reed manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Reed stops Shotta from standing up. Reed seems to have recovered his senses. Shotta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reed on the ground. Reed is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Shotta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shotta can't keep his opponent in guard - Reed advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shotta is trying to get back to full guard. Reed is looking to advance position but Shotta won't allow it. Reed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shotta is trying to stand up here but Reed is controlling him well. Reed is trying to control the action in half guard but Shotta is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Shotta tries to roll over but Reed keeps him under control. Reed trying to control from half guard but Shotta is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Shotta stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shotta has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shotta has Reed pushed against the cage. Reed has Shotta pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shotta manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Harry Shotta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Reed. A knee to the head by Shotta.

Shotta will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Reed up against the cage. Shotta connects with a knee to the head.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shotta. Reed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shotta but Shotta pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reed fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Reed tries to keep at a distance but Shotta has taken the fight into the clinch. Reed turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Reed manages to end up in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Shotta dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Pete Reed's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shotta manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Reed trying to control but Shotta is working from the bottom. Reed won't allow Shotta to sweep him here. Shotta on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shotta tries to get out of the position. Reed tries to free his leg and advance position but Shotta is retaining full guard. Reed won't allow Shotta to get back to his feet. Reed passes Shotta's left leg - he's now in half guard. Reed is pressing down on Shotta's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shotta is holding on for now. Reed frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed controlling his opponent. Reed trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shotta tries to hold on but Reed pushes him away. Reed stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Pete Reed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shotta tries to clinch up but Reed circles away and keeps his distance. Reed tries for a takedown but Shotta sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shotta instigates a clinch. Shotta connects with a knee to the head.

We're back to striking at a distance. Shotta gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shotta is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Shotta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Harry Shotta showed his dominance in that final round. I think Shotta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
