Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaap Thiadens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sisu Okunaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thiadens might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Yellow Submarine. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okunaba shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Okunaba was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Thiadens's coaches at White Dragon Tactical have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Okunaba is looking to take a break and control but Thiadens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thiadens is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Okunaba controls the position.
Okunaba has hold of Thiadens's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Thiadens tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Okunaba cranks the arm and Thiadens screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Thiadens, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
