Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between The Abaddon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Ricardo Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abaddon comes into the arena with Final Countdown... blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Abaddon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paulo Ricardo Lima! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abaddon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Horrible takedown by Abaddon or perhaps it was just good defense by Lima which made him look bad. Abaddon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lima swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Abaddon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abaddon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lima shoots in but Abaddon avoids the takedown attempt easily. Abaddon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Lima counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Abaddon keeping moving, preventing Lima from controlling successfully. Abaddon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lima defends well. Abaddon keeping moving, preventing Lima from controlling successfully. Abaddon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lima gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lima controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abaddon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Abaddon looking to control.
Abaddon has his foot on Lima's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lima works his way back into a safe position though. Lima avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Abaddon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lima pushing down on Abaddon's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Abaddon trying to control here.
Lima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abaddon keeps working. Lima wants to pass to mount but Abaddon is defending the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Abaddon is looking to control Lima's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Abaddon avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lima is trying to control. Abaddon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Abaddon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Abaddon trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Abaddon is refusing to be controlled, as Lima sits in half guard. Abaddon gets back to full guard.

Lima trying to control the position from guard on top but Abaddon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Abaddon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Lima slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Abaddon keeping moving, preventing Lima from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Paulo Ricardo Lima wasn't active enough on the ground. Abaddon dives in for a single leg takedown but Lima sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Lima is trying to pull guard but Abaddon has him pressed against the ropes. Abaddon pulls guard effortlessly. Lima got a little sloppy there for a moment and Abaddon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lima has managed to get both his arms back between Abaddon's legs - danger averted. Abaddon working for a triangle but Lima defends it easily.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Lima stands and throws Abaddon's legs to the side, diving into side control. Abaddon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lima wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lima working away. Lima has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Abaddon! Lima takes Abaddon's back. Lima trying to control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lima is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Abaddon won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Lima off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Paulo Ricardo Lima! The Abaddon was interviewed post fight and said 'You might think that this is all fun and games in here? This is real life. This is what drives me. You people...you drive me to succeed. Thank you for pushing me to get in this cage time and again.'.
