Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Jan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bead Dewitt!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jan breaks from the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dewitt.
Jan shoots in looking for a takedown but Dewitt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jan wants it to stay on the feet.
Jan has a takedown stuffed.
Jan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jan misses with a takedown

and Dewitt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dewitt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bead Dewitt wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dewitt defends well and Jan ends up having to push Dewitt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jan wants a takedown.
Dewitt takes a knee right on the jaw!

Dewitt has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Jan tries to break free.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dewitt lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jan wants to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jan is in bad spot here.

Jan trying to control the hands but Dewitt won't let him.
Jan manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dewitt's guard. Nice work there by Jan.
Jan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jan wants to control from the top but Dewitt keeps moving.
Jan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Jan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dewitt, up you get!

Jan shoots in for a takedown but Dewitt shows good takedown defense.
Jan is breathing heavily.
Dewitt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dewitt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dewitt.
Jan misses with a series of wild punches.
Jan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dewitt defends well and Jan ends up having to push Dewitt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jan has Dewitt pressed against the cage.
Dewitt misses with some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bead Dewitt will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dewitt jumps guard but Jan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jan successfully pulls guard.
Jan seems keen to control Dewitt's posture.
Dewitt wants to get up but he can't break Jan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dewitt wants to control from the top but Jan keeps moving.

Jan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jan wants to sweep here but Dewitt controlling him for the moment.

Jan manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dewitt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dewitt wants to get back to striking at distance but Jan won't allow it.

Dewitt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jan to keep the fight standing.
Jin Jan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bead Dewitt.
Jan is working for takedown but Dewitt is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jan slowing the pace effectively.

Dewitt breaks from the clinch.
Jan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dewitt but Dewitt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jan tries for a takedown but Dewitt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jan avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Dewitt tries to clinch but Jan moves out of range.
Jan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dewitt.

Horrible takedown by Jan or perhaps it was just good defense by Dewitt which made him look bad.
Jan stalks Dewitt and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dewitt's face. Dewitt staggers backwards, shaken.
Dewitt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jan.
Jan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jan lands with a slapping head kick.
Jan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dewitt as he jumps to the side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dewitt gets a clinch.
Dewitt looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jin Jan dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Jan looks to land a combination. Dewitt sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jan fails with a takedown attempt.
Jan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dewitt tries to clinch there but Jan circles away.
Jan throws a head kick that misses.
Dewitt goes for a double leg but Jan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jan continues to drive forward.
Jan looking to throw knees to the head but Dewitt is blocking nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jan.
Dewitt goes for a takedown attempt but Jan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jin Jan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bead Dewitt.

Dewitt wants to clinch but Jan slips to the side
and Jan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dewitt thinking.
Dewitt stuffs the takedown attempt from Jan. Jan gets slowly back to his feet.
Dewitt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dewitt somewhat.
Jin Jan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dewitt is trying to pull guard but Jan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Jan - that landed with a thud.

Jan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jan dives in for a single leg takedown but Dewitt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dewitt is trying to pull guard but Jan has him pressed against the cage.
Dewitt misses with a knee to the head.

Jan manages to pull guard.
Dewitt is looking to stand up but Jan won't let him.
Dewitt being controlled here momentarily.
Dewitt throws an elbow that misses. Jan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dewitt's guard. Nice move by Jan!

Dewitt is working an open guard so Jan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dewitt defends well and Jan ends up having to push Dewitt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Dewitt's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jan manages to pull guard.
Dewitt trying to move into half guard but instead Jan has managed to sweep!
Jan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jan controlling from the top position.

Jan stands up and waves to Dewitt to follow him.
Jan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dewitt misses with a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dewitt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dewitt gets tackled into the cage by Jan. Jan maintains the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jin Jan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
