Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Waits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waits has chosen Tom Waits - Bad As Me as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waits gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stanley counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Waits is lucky that one didn't land flush. Stanley lets loose with a powerful body kick. Waits will feel that in the morning. The fight stays on the outside here - Stanley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stanley closes the distance and clinches. Waits has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stanley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Waits is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stanley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Max Stanley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winston Waits. Stanley stops a takedown attempt from Waits.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stanley tries to throw a body punch but Waits avoids it by throwing Stanley back against the cage. Stanley is defending well against a takedown attempt. Stanley has Waits pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stanley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Waits tumbling to the mat - Stanley dives into Waits's guard. Stanley controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Max Stanley. Waits shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Waits takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Waits on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Stanley tries to bum rush Waits with a series of wild strikes but Waits uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No luck for Waits with that takedown attempt. Waits looks winded! Stanley clinches with his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stanley lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Stanley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Waits is trying to keep an underhook but Stanley manages to get the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stanley is controlling the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stanley connects with a nice short shot to Waits's temple. Waits is trying to get back to full guard. Waits trying to hold on to Stanley's head to control him but Stanley postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Waits is not content to let Stanley control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Max Stanley wasn't doing enough on the ground. Waits fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stanley avoids it really well and circles away. Stanley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stanley wants it to stay on the feet. Stanley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Waits.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stanley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Waits shoots in for a double leg but Stanley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stanley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Waits tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stanley is in Waits's guard. Stanley stopping the sweep attempt from Waits. Waits is looking for a triangle but Stanley pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanley sitting in guard here, content to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stanley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waits swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Stanley dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Stanley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Stanley wants to clinch but Waits slips to the side and Waits counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Winston Waits seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waits fails with the takedown. Waits changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stanley tries to avoid it but Waits manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stanley to the ground. Stanley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Waits tries for a takedown but Stanley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Max Stanley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winston Waits. Stanley wants to clinch. Stanley stuffs the takedown. Stanley tries a head kick but it misses.
Stanley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Waits fails with a takedown attempt. Waits is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waits is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stanley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A punch combination from Stanley misses. Stanley drives through and clinches with Waits against the cage.

Stanley breaks the clinch.
Stanley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stanley moves into range and clinches up with Waits. Waits jumps guard but Stanley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Good body shot from Stanley.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Waits takes a knee to the side of the body. Stanley lands an elbow inside. Stanley pulls Waits into guard.
Stanley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Waits defends it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Waits wants to control from the top but Stanley keeps moving. Stanley looking for a guillotine here but Waits defends easily.

Stanley has his feet on Waits's thighs here. He's pushed Waits off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Waits screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
