Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anzor Azhiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliveer Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azhiev comes to the cage accompanied by Czeczen Team. Anzor Azhiev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anzor Azhiev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliveer Jack!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azhiev moves into the clinch.
Azhiev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Azhiev looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Jack has Azhiev pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jack pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Azhiev tumbling to the mat - Jack dives into Azhiev's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jack won't allow Azhiev to get back to his feet.
Jack not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Oliveer Jack has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Azhiev moves to clinch but Jack breaks away

and Jack counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jack seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like Jack might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Oliveer Jack wasn't active enough on the ground.
Azhiev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Azhiev wants to clinch but Jack slips to the side

and Jack counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Azhiev being controlled for a moment.
Let's hope that Jack has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Oliveer Jack was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Azhiev tries to clinch up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Azhiev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jack clinches up against the cage.

Jack works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Jack distracts Azhiev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jack controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jack's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Oliveer Jack.

Jack dives in and scores a takedown into Azhiev's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jack tries to stand but Azhiev is controlling from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliveer Jack dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Jack closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Azhiev's guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Anzor Azhiev wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Azhiev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jack is fending him off so far but Azhiev persists. Nope, Jack circles away and we're back to standing.

Azhiev tries to keep at a distance but Jack has taken the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Azhiev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jack is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Azhiev to the mat. Azhiev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Azhiev can't keep his opponent in guard - Jack advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jack looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Oliveer Jack wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jack fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Azhiev, pushing him back against the cage.
Azhiev is trying to break free.

Jack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Azhiev doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jack counters by clinching up.

Jack lands a takedown into guard.
Oliveer Jack has got the better of the ground game so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Azhiev looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jack has picked Azhiev up and slammed him! Azhiev can't keep hold of the triangle and Jack manages to pass to side control!
Jack is staying tight to Azhiev's torso, preventing him from escaping.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Oliveer Jack has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jack has closed the distance and engaged Azhiev in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jack gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Azhiev regains guard.
Jack stays in close to Azhiev's body and controls the position.
Azhiev looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Azhiev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jack controls the pace.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Oliveer Jack hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jack closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Azhiev's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliveer Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Jack rushes Azhiev and presses him up against the cage.

Jack manages to break the clinch.
Azhiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azhiev somewhat.
Anzor Azhiev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jack gets a clinch.

Jack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jack instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Azhiev.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Azhiev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jack walks away with a smile on his face. Azhiev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jack moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jack has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Azhiev is trying to keep an underhook but Jack manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Jack takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Oliveer Jack has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jack drives through and clinches with Azhiev against the cage.
Jack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jack gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jack in particular looking to stall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jack trying to pass the guard but Azhiev defending well.
Jack is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Jack is working for a kimura but Azhiev is defending it quite comfortably.
Jack slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Oliveer Jack.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jack is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Azhiev can't fight it off and eventually Jack manages to take the fight to the floor. Azhiev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jack not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Oliveer Jack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
