Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pirate Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Punchy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent Punchy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pirate Dan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Punchy!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan leaves Punchy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Punchy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dan is refusing to be controlled, as Punchy sits in half guard.
Dan tries to roll over but Punchy keeps him under control.
Punchy trying to control the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trent Punchy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Punchy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dan pinned against the cage. Dan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dan swings around for an armbar but Punchy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dan's guard.

Punchy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Punchy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Punchy has managed to get both his arms back between Dan's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pirate Dan will probably get the nod.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round but Pirate Dan did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Punchy has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Dan wants to escape the position.
Dan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Dan is squirming around, avoiding Punchy's attempts to control the action.

You can see the frustration on Dan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Dan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Punchy gets his way!

Dan tries to escape but Punchy has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Punchy sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Dan taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Trent Punchy!

During a confident post fight interview, Trent Punchy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Pirate Dan had this to say: 'Who is John Galt?'.
