Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Saul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rason Fairs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fairs has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Saul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rason Fairs!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saul wants to clinch but Fairs slips to the side
and Fairs counters with a series of strikes that sends Saul to the canvas! Fairs follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fairs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Saul is keeping the position for now.
Fairs is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Saul keeping moving, preventing Fairs from controlling successfully.
Saul scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Saul darts in trying to clinch
and Fairs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Paul Saul has been cut.
Saul closes the distance looking to clinch
and Fairs counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Saul has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rason Fairs!
After the fight, Rason Fairs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
