Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Strikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Osko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Osko has chosen Sabotage as his entrance music. Carlos Strikes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Osko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 30 - 1, fighting out of London, Carlos Strikes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Osko! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Strikes as he checks the leg kick. Strikes tries a head kick but it misses.
Strikes slips under a jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Osko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Strikes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Osko lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Strikes rushes Osko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Strikes stalling against the cage.
Osko looking for a takedown. Osko has a couple of punches blocked by Strikes.
Osko goes for a takedown attempt but Strikes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Osko misses with an uppercut
and Strikes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Strikes. Osko tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Osko lands a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Strikes is trying to control the position but Osko postures up. Strikes is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rift Fighting Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Strikes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Osko postures up and lands a big shot to Strikes's brow. Strikes has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Osko has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Strikes lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Strikes breaks from the clinch.
Osko swats away the attempt to clinch by Strikes. Nice shot by Strikes. Osko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Strikes is trying to defend but Osko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Osko is trying to work for a kimura but Strikes is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strikes is trying to stand up here but Osko is controlling him well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Osko drops an elbow to the side of Strikes's head. Osko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Strikes wants to improve his position but Osko is controlling well.

It looks like Carlos Strikes has been cut. Osko lands a big shot there that rocks Strikes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Carlos Strikes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Osko lands a couple of good shots and Strikes has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Jeez, Carlos Strikes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carlos Strikes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Josh Osko! Josh Osko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
