Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arsene Dumars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Aldo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arsene Dumars!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumars tries to clinch there but Aldo circles away.
Dumars misses with the combination.
Dumars shoots for a takedown but Aldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Aldo has closed the distance and engaged Dumars in a clinch.
Dumars makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Aldo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Aldo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Aldo pulls Dumars in to control the position.
Dumars won't allow Aldo to sweep him here.
Dumars trying to control the position from guard on top but Aldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dumars landing with the ground and pound.
Aldo has control of Dumars's left arm, preventing Dumars from doing any damage.
Aldo wants to stand up but Dumars is controlling him.

Aldo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dumars trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dumars must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Aldo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dumars wants to get up but he can't break Aldo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aldo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dumars is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jose Aldo wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dumars is defended easily by Aldo.

Aldo moves into the clinch.
Aldo keeps control of Dumars as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Aldo prevents Dumars from breaking the clinch.

Dumars gets control of Aldo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dumars will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dumars shoots in for a takedown but Aldo shows good takedown defense.
Jose Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arsene Dumars.

Dumars wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving.
Aldo wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dumars has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aldo is proving hard to escape from.
Aldo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jose Aldo.
Dumars scores with a nice head shot.
Dumars looks to land a right hand but Aldo moved out of range.
Dumars avoids the body shot from Aldo.

Dumars comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dumars tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aldo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aldo lands with a hook. Dumars tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dumars tries to clinch but Aldo moves out of range.
Dumars misses with a looping left.
Nice takedown defense from Aldo. No joy for Dumars on that attempt.
Dumars looks winded!

Aldo moves into the clinch.
Dumars wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aldo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dumars scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aldo misses the shot to the body.
Dumars has a takedown stuffed.
Aldo is looking to chop away at Dumars's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Aldo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Aldo controls the position.
Aldo lands some shots froms side control.
Aldo looks up at the clock and then as Dumars takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Aldo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Aldo advances to full mount.

Aldo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dumars throws a head kick but Aldo moves out of range.
Dumars wants to clinch up but Aldo keeps it at a distance.

Dumars has a couple of punches blocked by Aldo.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Dumars.
Aldo is stalling here.
Dumars misses with an elbow over the top.
A frustrated look appears on Aldo's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Aldo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dumars pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Dumars tries to break the clinch but Aldo is controlling the position.
Aldo is working Dumars over against the cage.
Aldo prevents Dumars from breaking the clinch.

Aldo jumps into guard, dragging Dumars to the mat.
Dumars stops Aldo from standing up.
Dumars is fighting to break Aldo's control of his arms but Aldo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Dumars in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Aldo pulls Dumars in close to his closed guard and prevents Dumars from doing any damage or advancing position.

Dumars rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aldo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sloppy strikes from Dumars. Those never looked like landing.
Dumars is breathing heavily.
Dumars tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Dumars.
Aldo misses with a wild body shot.
Dumars darts in looking for a takedown but Aldo gets double underhooks and turns Dumars into the cage.
Dumars has Aldo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aldo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dumars using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Aldo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Aldo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Aldo manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aldo has hold of Dumars's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dumars seems comfortable defending it but Aldo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dumars is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dumars is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Aldo couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jose Aldo!
After winning the bout, Jose Aldo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
