Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Stugatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulo Stugatz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roger Lin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paulo Stugatz!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lin lands a nice forearm strike.
Stugatz tries to bench press Lin off him but Lin keeps the position.

Lin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stugatz has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stugatz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stugatz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Paulo Stugatz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stugatz was covering up waiting for the punch and Lin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stugatz controls Lin momentarily but Lin frees himself.

Lin has gone for a leg lock! Stugatz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lin's guard.
Stugatz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stugatz's half guard.
Stugatz is refusing to be controlled, as Lin sits in half guard.

Lin is looking for a kimura but Stugatz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lin to get the leverage.
Lin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stugatz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
