Zero gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Merridew looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Zero is trying to stall.
Zero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Merridew walks away with a smile on his face. Zero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Zero tries to clinch but Merridew is having none of it.
Merridew with a jab.
A head kick misses from Zero.
Merridew connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Merridew digs a good hook to Zero's body.
Merridew avoids the head kick by Zero.
Zero shoots in and drives through. Merridew sprawls well.
Zero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Merridew avoids it really well and circles away.
Jack Merridew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Zero.
Zero takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zero throws a head kick that misses.
Merridew wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Zero throws a series of punches but Merridew moves out of range.

Merridew scores with a one two! Zero had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Merridew scores with a jab to the body.
Merridew clobbers Zero with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Merridew jabs Zero to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Merridew's corner calls for a 1-2. Merridew obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zero takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Merridew connects with a looping right hand.
Zero takes one to the chin there.
Zero is rocked!
Merridew connects with a nice cross there... Zero is looking wobbly and Merridew recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Zero to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Merridew jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
