Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrien Lafleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze comes to the cage accompanied by Monster by Skillet. Lafleur has chosen Karma to Burn - Two Times as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Adrien Lafleur enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Blaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adrien Lafleur! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Blaze throws a lazy uppercut
and Lafleur counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lafleur not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Blaze is pressing down on Lafleur's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Lafleur is looking to work some ground and pound but Blaze has wrist control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lafleur being controlled here momentarily. Lafleur postures up and lands a big shot to Blaze's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blaze seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lafleur accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lafleur in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafleur throwing strikes but missing. Lafleur wants to pass the guard but Blaze is keeping the position. Lafleur is working Blaze over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lafleur is looking to work some ground and pound but Blaze has wrist control. Lafleur missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lafleur trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Blaze utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lafleur throwing strikes from guard but Blaze blocks nicely. Lafleur pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blaze is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lafleur throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lafleur in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lafleur postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lafleur throws a strike but Blaze rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lafleur is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Lafleur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blaze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blaze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lafleur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaze works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lafleur wants to get back to full guard but Blaze has mounted him! Lafleur wants to hold on but Blaze pushes him away. Blaze tries to control but Lafleur wriggling away. Lafleur tries to reverse the position but Blaze maintains control. Lafleur felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrien Lafleur dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Blaze lands a head kick. Lafleur smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Blaze dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lafleur. That did some damage! Lafleur tries to keep at a distance but Blaze has taken the fight into the clinch. Blaze throws a knee to the head but misses.
Blaze swings wildly with an uppercut but Lafleur uses good head movement to avoid it. Blaze struggles to land a body shot inside as Lafleur controls his hands.
Lafleur blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lafleur has Blaze pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lafleur pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blaze tumbling to the mat - Lafleur dives into Blaze's guard. Lafleur scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lafleur throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafleur loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lafleur missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lafleur cracks Blaze with a solid left hand. Blaze working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lafleur. Lafleur is looking to work some ground and pound but Blaze has wrist control. Lafleur landing some decent shots from guard. Lafleur postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Blaze avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lafleur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blaze swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lafleur postures up in Blaze's guard and throws a big left but Blaze blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lafleur with a flurry of punches that miss. We've been hearing good reports from Blaze's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Lafleur connects with a nice short shot to Blaze's temple. Lafleur not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lafleur seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lafleur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blaze's head. Lafleur lands strikes from half guard. Nice strikes from Lafleur there. Lafleur not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lafleur looks to land a strike but Blaze avoids it nicely and regains full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lafleur accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lafleur throws a strike but Blaze rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lafleur looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blaze passes into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lafleur is looking for a sweep. Blaze wants to stand but Lafleur is controlling his arm. You can see the frustration on Lafleur's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lafleur is trying to improve his position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Blaze in side control, throwing shots but Lafleur defends. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrien Lafleur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Blaze clinches up with Lafleur and pushes him back against the cage. Lafleur blocks an elbow strike from Blaze.

Johnny Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrien Lafleur. Blaze misses with a short punch on the inside. A body shot lands from Blaze.

This has been an exciting period of action! Lafleur blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Lafleur tries to score a body lock takedown but Blaze shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Blaze tries to work over Lafleur's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Blaze misses with a punch on the inside.

Lafleur tightens his grip and picks Blaze up, before dumping him to the ground. Blaze manages to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Lafleur throws an elbow that misses. Blaze uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lafleur's guard. Nice move by Blaze! Blaze slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lafleur has a closed guard, preventing Blaze from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lafleur escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blaze gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Blaze has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lafleur looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Lafleur is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Blaze trying to control but Lafleur is working from the bottom. Johnny Blaze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lafleur is looking for a triangle but Blaze pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lafleur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blaze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blaze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Blaze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lafleur works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lafleur looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blaze passes into half guard.
Lafleur has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blaze is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Blaze showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lafleur has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
