Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colbey Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Wells has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colbey Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Wells! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wells throws a right and a left that both miss. Wells shoots for a double leg takedown but Lynch sprawls well. He's pushed Wells's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wells throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lynch. Wells scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lynch is rocked!
It looks like Colbey Lynch has been cut. Lynch lands a head kick. Wells smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Oh Lynch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wells gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lynch. Lynch seems to have got his legs back now. A slow jab from Wells misses its intended target. Richard Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wells misses with the combination.
Lynch closes the distance and clinches up with Wells, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes Wells against the cage but Wells circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lynch slips a jab and a cross from Wells.
Wells stuffs the takedown attempt from Lynch. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet. Lynch lands a head kick!
Lynch staying out of range there. Lynch scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wells throws a jab but it's blocked by Lynch. Lynch throws a nice inside leg kick. Lynch shoots in and drives through. Wells sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colbey Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him. A lazy left from Wells finds it's target. Wells throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Lynch tumbling to the canvas! Wells wants to stand but Lynch has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Lynch is looking for a triangle but Wells pushes his legs off easily.
Wells wanted to stand there but Lynch had control of the position. Lynch is striking but Wells is not phased and passes to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Lynch manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lynch is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lynch drops back looking for a leg! Wells is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wells manages to kick Lynch off! Lynch jumps back into Wells's guard. Wells wants to stand up but Lynch is controlling him. Lynch wants to pass the guard but Wells is keeping the position. Wells has an active guard here but Lynch has managed to pass into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lynch seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells is looking to get back to is feet but Lynch passes into side control.

Lynch tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lynch has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lynch throws a strike aimed at the side of Wells's head but Wells avoids it well. Wells takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Wells sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lynch working over Wells with some ground and pound. Wells looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lynch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to pass to full mount but Wells defends it. Wells is trying to stand.

Lynch connects with a nice short shot to Wells's temple. Wells tries to kick Lynch off but Lynch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wells wants to get back to full guard but Lynch has passed into side control. Wells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lynch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lynch is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Lynch extends the arm and Wells is forced to tap!
