PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rilgard Relson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Vanguard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanguard is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Survival-Eminem. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rilgard Relson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Vanguard!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vanguard clinches with his opponent.

Vanguard gets control of Relson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vanguard will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vanguard looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Relson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vanguard works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Vanguard throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Relson postures up in Vanguard's guard and throws a big left but Vanguard blocks it.
Vanguard working a defensive guard but Relson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Relson working the ground and pound.
Relson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Relson trying to control the action but Vanguard is working from the bottom.
Vanguard is trying to control Relson's posture but Relson avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vanguard is pushing Relson's head away, looking to escape. Relson manages to hold on to the position though.
Relson wants to control but Vanguard is keeping him busy.
Vanguard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Relson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Relson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Relson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Relson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vanguard is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Relson yanks on the arm and Vanguard is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Relson.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rilgard Relson!
In defeat, Ethan Vanguard stepped up to the mic, saying 'He was very tough I just had no answer for him I got beat in pretty much every aspect I know what i need to do to get better and im going to work to get better'.
