Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Flavio Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Santa Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santa Cruz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 50 cent P.I.M.P. Rafael Santa Cruz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Santa Cruz! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Sandoval as he checks the leg kick. Santa Cruz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Santa Cruz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sandoval stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Santa Cruz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sandoval. Sandoval displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santa Cruz throws out the jab. Sandoval turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Santa Cruz misses with a looping left. Santa Cruz misses with a wild body shot. Sandoval misses with a hook. Santa Cruz jabs Sandoval to the body, keeping him at a distance. Santa Cruz jabs Sandoval right on the nose. Sandoval blinks but takes it well. A low kick from Santa Cruz is predictable there and Sandoval counters with a single leg into guard. Santa Cruz didn't expect that. This has been an exciting period of action! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Santa Cruz is looking for a triangle but Sandoval pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandoval trying to control but Santa Cruz is working from the bottom. Sandoval is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Santa Cruz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sandoval is looking to defend but Santa Cruz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sandoval! Santa Cruz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sandoval taps out and this one is all over!
