Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sting Heller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heller comes to the cage accompanied by brock . Alexander Karelin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin throws a combination that misses

so Heller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Heller looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Heller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karelin has his hands on Heller's head, controlling the position.

Karelin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Heller defends it easily.

Heller drops back looking for a leg! Karelin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Karelin manages to kick Heller off! Heller jumps back into Karelin's guard.

Heller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Karelin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Heller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Heller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Heller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Heller is fighting to break Karelin's control of his arms but Karelin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Heller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Heller tries to free his leg and advance position but Karelin is retaining full guard.

Karelin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Karelin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Karelin is adopting a defensive guard.
Karelin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Karelin is nestled in close to Heller, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Karelin wants to work for an arm triangle but Heller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karelin connects with a nice short shot to Heller's temple.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Heller is refusing to be controlled, as Karelin sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Karelin dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Karelin drives through with a powerful takedown. That's hurt Heller!
Karelin stands up over Heller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Karelin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Karelin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Karelin connects with a couple of short punches.
Oh Heller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Karelin is in close to Heller's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Karelin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karelin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Karelin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Heller covers up, he's hurt! Karelin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Karelin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Karelin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Karelin!
