Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rovigatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatu comes to the cage accompanied by Umaga. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eddie Fatu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Rovigatti!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatu lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Tony Rovigatti has been cut.
Fatu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fatu shoots in and gets a takedown into Rovigatti's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Rovigatti trying to keep a closed guard but Fatu is proving a slippery customer.

Rovigatti is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fatu connects with a couple of short punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fatu pushing down on Rovigatti's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Fatu stalling.
Fatu seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rovigatti is looking to improve his position.

Fatu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rovigatti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fatu.
Fatu is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Fatu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rovigatti for as long as he can get away with.

Eddie Fatu has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Rovigatti misses with a head kick.
Fatu feints a jab promting Rovigatti to slip. Fatu then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rovigatti slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fatu throws a right hand that Rovigatti ducks under and follows up with a left that Rovigatti also avoids with ease.
Fatu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rovigatti tries to clinch but Fatu moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rovigatti tries to clinch up but Fatu circles away and keeps his distance.
Fatu fails with a takedown attempt.
Rovigatti avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fatu lands a really nice looking cross but Rovigatti seems unphased.


That has opened up Tony Rovigatti's cut even more.
Fatu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rovigatti slips a jab and a cross from Fatu.
Fatu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rovigatti tries to clinch there but Fatu circles away.
Fatu throws a nice looking combination but Rovigatti bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rovigatti is looking to clinch but Fatu is avoiding it.

Fatu closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rovigatti's guard.
Fatu sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Rovigatti looking for a guillotine here but Fatu defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fatu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rovigatti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rovigatti has his foot on Fatu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fatu works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fatu is in close to Rovigatti's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fatu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fatu trying to control but Rovigatti is working from the bottom.
Fatu is stalling in the full guard.
Fatu won't allow Rovigatti to sweep him here.
Fatu lands a couple of digs.


The cut above Tony Rovigatti's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Rovigatti is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fatu defends well.

Fatu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fatu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rovigatti looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fatu is in close to Rovigatti's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rovigatti throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fatu's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fatu postures up.
Fatu engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fatu lands a couple of elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Fatu dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tony Rovigatti's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Fatu shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fatu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rovigatti can do to turn this around?
Rovigatti wants to get back to full guard.
Rovigatti keeps trying to improve his position.
Fatu is controlling the pace.

Fatu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rovigatti sees it coming and defends easily.
Fatu with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Fatu winds up and cracks Rovigatti with a swinging punch to the side of the head.


Tony Rovigatti's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tony Rovigatti's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Eddie Fatu!
