Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Rusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rusky has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Little Rusky will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabricio Carvalho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Rusky! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rusky throws a series of punches but Carvalho moves out of range. Rusky throws the left hand but Carvalho avoids the punch easily. Horrible takedown by Carvalho or perhaps it was just good defense by Rusky which made him look bad. Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown but Rusky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carvalho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Carvalho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rusky but Rusky pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio Carvalho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rusky throws a looping overhand right but Carvalho ducks down to avoid it. Rusky slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Fabricio Carvalho has been cut. Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown. Rusky tries to sprawl out of it but Carvalho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rusky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carvalho defending well as Rusky loads up on a big left hand. Carvalho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rusky tries to avoid it but Carvalho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rusky to the ground. Rusky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rusky throws a poor cross that misses
and Carvalho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rusky misses with a looping right. Rusky throws out a powerful jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho fails to land the takedown. Rusky throws a series of strikes that have Carvalho backpedaling.
Good standup being displayed there by Rusky as he connects with a hook. A swing and a miss from Rusky. Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown. Rusky tries to sprawl out of it but Carvalho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rusky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carvalho displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rusky throws out the jab. Carvalho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rusky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carvalho somewhat. Rusky misses with a looping right. Rusky throws a right hand that Carvalho ducks under and follows up with a left that Carvalho also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carvalho shoots in but Rusky avoids the takedown attempt easily. Carvalho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rusky. Rusky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rusky throws a right and a left that Carvalho avoids nicely. Little Rusky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carvalho gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Carvalho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rusky. Rusky getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Carvalho staying out of range there. Carvalho shoots in but no luck this time. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rusky!
Carvalho dives in and scores a takedown into Rusky's guard. Carvalho passes Rusky's left leg - he's now in half guard. Carvalho is trying to work for a kimura but Rusky is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rusky is trying to get back to full guard. Rusky looking for submissions off his back. Rusky is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carvalho scores with a couple of nice shots. Carvalho slips a nice elbow through Rusky's hands, connecting with Rusky's forehead. Carvalho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rusky is just riding it out for now. Carvalho eventually gives up the hold. Rusky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Carvalho lands strikes from half guard. Rusky is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carvalho prevents Rusky from improving his position. Carvalho is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rusky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Carvalho is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Carvalho maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rusky could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carvalho has cracked it and Rusky is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carvalho!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Fabricio Carvalho! Fabricio Carvalho took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
